As part of one of my University project, a group of four of us were tasked with the creation of a robot that would draw a straight diagonal line across a whiteboard, whilst also being able to drive around.
In the first few weeks, I developed prototypes for how the electronics should be implemented. This involved calculating voltage and current requirements for each component and specifying how they should be installed. I refined the diagram as new challenges arose. When the chassis had been constructed I was responsible for the physical implementation of the electronics.
I also troubleshot the robot extensively and updated my diagram accordingly so that other group members could easily understand the electronics. During the final phase of the project, I also contributed a substantial amount to programming. Overall, I learnt a great deal during this project, especially regarding designing electronics and working in a multidisciplinary team.
